Shrinivas Dempo to inaugurate regional seminar on Women in Media

ICG in association with the MICCI and FES-India will be organising a regional seminar on "Women in Media: Fighting Stereotype - Identity & Gender" on 19 & 20 July 2008 at ICG.  Shrinivas Dempo will deliver the inaugral address while Dr. Pramod Salgaocar - Chairperson Goa State Commission for Women will deliver the keynote address to the seminar. 

 

Seminar on "Right Move II - Career in Sports"

The ICG in association with the Taleigao Chess Academy will organise a half day seminar on "Right Move II - Career in Sports" on 10 July 08 from 9:30  am to 12:30 pm.  The seminar is open for all and will focus on the theme of employment opportunities in the field of sports for the youth of Goa and how to enhance our capabilities of competition.  For registration contact Arjun Halarnkar at prog[at]incentgoa.com.

Dr. M Govinda RaoThe ICG organized the GOA DIALOGUES lecture on “Emerging Issues in the Indian Economy” by Dr. M Govinda Rao - Director, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) and Member, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India- on Monday, 23 June 2008 at 5:30 pm at the Maquenez Palace II at the Entertainment Society of Goa building, Panaji Goa.  The lecture was Chaired by Shri. Summer Study programme of College of William & Mary concluded

Group Photo with Mr. RaneSummer Study programme of College of William & Mary concluded on 19 June 08.  Mr. Pratapsingh Rane - President, ICG honoured the occasion with his presence.  Mr. Rane also presented momentos to the faculty members and students on behalf of the Centre.  The Centre also signed an MoU with the College for holding this programme for next five year at the Centre.

 

Sitar & Flute Jugalbandi at International Centre

Sitar & Flute JugalbandiThe ICG organized a Jugalbandi between Sitar & Flute on Sunday, 8 June 2008 at its premises at Dona Paula.  Sitar was played by eminent Sitarist Shri Manab Das, faculty of Goa College of Music while the Flute was played by young and upcoming artist Shri Sonik Velingkar who is currently pursuing his studies in Pune. They were accompanied by Shri Ulhas Velingkar on Tabla. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Anupam Sarkar and compered by Ms. Soma Bhattacharya. The jugalbandi was specially organized for the visiting faculty and students of the College of William & Mary of United States. Brochure
